Aldara Yenara entered 2 sides (12 and under netball and 17 and under football) through our Yakapna Sports Program into this year's VACSAL junior football/netball carnival. The carnival was a great success with both sides having an abundance of players.

11 & Under Netball

Our girls unfortunately didn’t win any of their games with a young bottom age side, but this did not dampen their spirits. The girls had an awesome time, and we received lots of positive feedback from parents that were grateful that their girls had the opportunity to participate.

17 & Under Football

The footballers did well, only losing 1 of their games during the rounds and making it into the finals but were unluckily plagued with injuries resulting in our large bench dwindling down to 2 players by the time we reached finals. We were knocked out in our semi-final but finished third overall.

The VACSAL carnivals are a great opportunity for our youth to come together in a culturally safe environment with people attending from mobs across Victoria. Aldara Yenara is thrilled to provide the opportunity for our youth to participate in these events through providing transportation, accommodation and supervision.
